Wonderful two drawer Vermont, paint decorated blanket chest, circa 1820.  Everything about this piece is right, from the hinges to the hardware and the amazing dry painted surface.  There is very little wear in the paint.  Look at the exceptional cut out on the front skirt.  There is absolutely no lip damage to the drawers and they exhibit the classic hand cut dovetails and chamfered bottoms.  There are two wide backboards.  This is an investment quality piece that we are offering for the price of $4295.
Mustard Painted Dome Top Box, circa 1840- Exceptional surface with complete lock set.  All the interior is complete.  It has its original hinges.  The nails and remaining construction are correct for the period.  Great Patina.  This box has no apologies.  It is being offered for a fair price of $495.00.
Early Tole Painted Document Box- 19th Century Document box with Great original paint.  The front paint is strong with some loss on the other panels.  Wonderful original brass bale.  The hinges and latch are in good shape along with the rest of the box.  It is being offered at $795.00
Early Tilt Top Candlestand, circa 1825- Great tiger maple top with what to appears to be a clear maple base.  Legs are dovetailed into a crisply turned column.  Tilt mechanism has the original brass latch.  This stand is being offered at $1295.00
Grain Painted Hanging Wall Cupboard, circa 1800-  Wonderful comb grained cupboard with original red surface with black graining.  Boards are all hand planed.  Nice early back with hand forged ram's horn hanger.  The top has exposed hand cut dovetails.  Very clean and solid interior with shelves.  This cupboard is being offered for $995.00.
Early 19th Century Portraits, circa 1835-  Absolutely fantastic husband and wife portraits.  These portraits descended from the Gleason Family of Cohassett Massachusetts.  They came from the family estate, in Pennsylvania.  They are unsigned.  The condition of this pair is nearly mint.  They have not been relined, have the original stretchers and frame.  There is NO inpainting.  These paintings have been blacklighted.  Great Ogee gilt frames.  Wonderful colors.  This is the way you want to buy early folk art paintings.  They are from our personal collection and will be offered for a fair price of $4995.00
Child's Rodback Windsor, circa 1800- Rare early child's winsdor in great red surface.  Wonderful bamboo turnings and plank seat.  The surface is either the original or a very old red with no paint underneath.  Selling price $495.00

Paint Decorated Storage Box, Circa 1840-  Wonderful Coral or Seashell Grained box in original paint.  The box itself, is dovetailed construction, maintains all its original hardware, including lock and hinges.  The interior is immaculate and the paint is strong on all sides with some minor wear on the top.  The box is about 30 inches wide and would make a great "middle of the stack."  Price: $695
Early Child's Ladderback Chair, circa 1825- Wonderful childs chair with turned arms, back posts and legs.  Remnants of original Putty/Gray paint.  Splint seat is either original or very early replacement.  Price $179

Rhode Island Cupboard, circa 1840-  Great all original one door cupboard.  This piece has original surface and hardware.  If you enlarge the pictures, the only apology is a crack in the board on the left side.  Otherwise, the cupboard is pristine.  It has a simple country cornice. The backboards are all original and are attatched with square nails.  The shelves has the correct wear and a warm patina.  The sides have a reverse "Cupids Bow" cut out.  The door is a batten door.  The provenance is Rhode Island, however, it came right out of a house in Groton, Massachusetts.  It is a lot of cupboard for the price.   Price $1495
Four Door New England Cupboard, circa 1850-  Wonderful 2 door over 2 door cupboard.  The construction of this cupboard is all original with absolutely no apologies.  Great cut out skirt.  The shelves have chamfered plate grooves.  Backboards, hardware and nails are all consistent for the period.  The surface is an old brown over the original Blue/Gray.  Great size with a tremendous amount of storage.
