Deacon Harvey and Mary Palmer Root, Agawam Ma. - Oil on Tin. Very rare and unusual. On the reverse side of Mrs Root, there is an earlier portrait of her. Once she became a deacon's wife, her portrait was redone on the same tin. A matching portrait of Harvey Root was done at that time. Notice the conservative dress of the deacon's wife. In what appears to be original frames.
