Black Cloth Doll, circa 1870- From the Dan and Jan Olmstead Collection, this wonderful doll is completely original.  She measures 24" long.  She is wearing her original hand sewn homespun dress with two layers of underclothing, a scarf and a beaded necklace.  Her face is hand embroidered, she has natural hair on the back, her hands come to a point and her booties and socks are fabric.  One foot is partially unsewn from the leg and could be easily repaired.  This is a marvelous folk art item.  SOLD
American Man Cloth Doll, circa 1880- Rare male doll with leather face and leather mitten hands, this doll measures 18" long.  His face has stitched features with bead eyes.  He is wearing his original clothing with details including the original buttons on the front, waist belt and legs of trousers.  He also retains his orignal leather boots.  This doll is from our personal collection .  SOLD
American Cloth Doll of Woman, circa 1875-  This doll is completely original with a drawn and embroidered face.  She has no hair and is wearing a lace cap under a satin bonnet that ties in front.  She is wearing her original black dress that is pleated on the top, gathers at the waist and extends to full length.  She has multiple layers of her original homespun undergarments.  Notice the lace that extends from the sleeves and ends at the pointed hands.  Her boots are sewn on and are silk that has experienced the toll of its age.  She, as well, was part of our collection and is priced at $1395 firm.
Rare Signed and Dated Ladies Pocket-  Dated 1852, this ladies pocket is made of leather and suede.  Beautifully designed and wrought in rich, gemlike tones.  It has a leather back that afforded the piece, stability throughout its life.  Retains its original loomed strap.  The front has appliqued and embroidered pieces and has the initials M E D just above the date.  This piece came directly from a collector of early bags.  This bag is similar to one referenced and documented in "A Passion for Purses," by Higgins/Blaser: Schiffer Books 2007.  Priced at $2195.
Stepback Cupboard, circa 1840-  Rare form Stepback Cupboard from a house in Binghamton, NY.  The cupboard has an open top with an unusual detail in the shelf.  The shelf bows out slightly and the surround and shelf have a double groove carved into the wood.  The profile picture shows the shape of the single board side and the half round cut-out on the bottom.  The front has a single 21.5" board door and hangs on its original hinges and is reinforced with two battens.  The door opens to two shelves that are original.  The legs have a nice cutout detail.  The surface is a really dry paint.  There is a paint history that has traces of putty color and an earlier gray.  The cupboard measures 31.5" wide by 15.5" deep and 76" tall.     Price- $5995
Sewing Box, circa 1850- Early two drawer sewing box in warm early refinished surface.  This box came out of a Cape Cod house and has all the contents as it was purchased.  There is a unique trough at the top for storage of fabric or whatever.  It measures 18" wide by 9" tall and 9" deep.  Priced at $695
Cobbler's or Work Bench, circa 1840-  This is a really unique item.  It is a wonderful Folky and Primitive work station in fantastic original Blue paint with outstanding solid Birdseye Maple Drawer Fronts.  The drawers have hand cut dovetails and have chunky chamfers on the bottom.  There is a place for a harness vice and numberous areas to store hand tools.  Also has remnants of leather straps for both holding tools or sharpening them.  It is currently in our kitchen, but is for sale.  The dimensions are 41" wide by 22" deep by 46" tall.  Priced to sell at  $1895.00
Rare Miniature Bucket Bench, circa 1860- Wonderful petite bucket bench with a scrub top and Original Mustard Paint, with accurate wear and patina.  Shaped top over singe door with great cutouts on the sides.  The door is pegged and the panel is hand planed.  Unique size measuring 35" wide by 15" deep and 23" tall.   Fairly Priced at  SOLD
