Rare Form Hutch Table, circa 1750-  This table is a rare form folding top hutch table in the best original surface.   The top is a 4 board top that has 2 early cast hinges in the middle.  It makes flipping up the top extremely easy.  The top itself is 53 inches in diameter and has a wonderful warm scrub surface with traces of the original red paint.  The color on the underside of the top is very strong.  You can see hundreds of years of clamp marks on the underside.  The top is attached on one end with two handled pins that appear to be hand carved.  The base is quite large and has a single large drawer in the front.  The joints are all pegged and the surface appears to be its original red wash.  The legs have nice turnings and strong color as well.  The back two feet have had restoration below the last turning.  The restoration was done well and is very difficult to see.  The seat on the base measures 23 inches square.  The table has great height at 28 inches, as you can see by the pictures.  Overall, this is a very solid table for everyday use and a rare form, with a great surface.   The pictures may be enlarged by clicking on the photo.  This item will be offered in our shop at a fair price of $5499.00
Early Slant Lid Desk on Legs, circa 1780-  Wonderful Chippendale desk in Rare form.  This piece is in outstanding condition.  The lid lifts up from the front to reveal a fully fitted interior with four drawers.  There is fretwork in the interior that appears to be missing sections on the right and left.  The overall construction of this piece is amazing.  Almost every joint is pegged and there is a noticeable absence of nails.  The top of the case is dovetailed.  The only visible nails are on the back boards and they are hand wrought square nails.  The legs have great turnings and are supported by an "H" stretcher, again all pegged.  There is a wonderful hand carved applied molding around the bottom of the case.  The hinges are original and it retains its lock set.  As it relates to the pulls, they are both early and match the original hole patterns, but one is slightly different.  The surface has a very warm feel and I found traces of green paint in some of the areas, which would imply a refinish.  There is quite a bit of patina on this piece that would indicate that the surface was done a very long time ago.  The desk has nice proportions and measures 37 inches wide by 38 inches high by 24 inches deep.  This desk is very heavy and my sense is that the wood is a walnut, which would indicate a Pennsylvania origin,  Our Price:  $3299
Early 2 Door over 1 Door Cupboard, circa 1825-  This cupboard just came out of a Physician's Lexingtion Collection where it has been since the 1970's.  He bought everything in the house from the famous Antique Dealer, Roger Bacon.  This is one of many items that I got from the house.  Everything about this cupboard is right and in great shape.  Wonderful cornice with dental moulding, great door construction and shaped front shelves.  The paint speaks for itself.  It is the original strong blue with the correct patina and wear.   It is a good size at 48 inches wide.  You just don't find cupboards like this any more.  This won't last at the fair price of $4995.00
19th Century Upstate New York Kas/Cupboard, circa 1800-  Wonderful early 2 door Cupboard in Great red Surface.  This cupboard has the proportions of a Kas standing 70 inches tall and measuring 64 inches wide to the end of the Cornice.   The base has a simple cutout skirt and the picture of the cornice shows how it is stacked.  Also, each front corner has a nice Chamfer, as shown in the picture.   The overall construction is Mortise and Pegged.  From the top, you can see that the case, itself, is Dovetailed.  The nails in the backboards are all hand wrought square nails.  All the boards are original, with no repairs.  At some time early in its history, the owner removed 3 shelves and basically turned it into a wardrobe.  The interior was painted after that time, however the interior paint is very old.  The exterior surface was taken down to the original red, which is very strong and has the typical wear around the doors.  This is the biggest cupboard we have had in years and would certainly make a statement in any room.   Dimensions:  64"  wide by 75" high by 19" deep.  This cupboard is offered at the low price of  $4999.00
